Introduction        
HELP organization is working since 2004 in rural area of PAKISTAN, with the aim to provide leadership for sustainability, to make people self-reliant and reduce dependency on others and to create awareness in the community regarding socio-economic problems and enabling them to live in prosperous, equitable and peaceful society. 
HELP envisions a sustainable rural development model for reducing poverty and promote sustainable means of livelihood for the poor and disadvantaged communities in the programmes area. 
HELP is a multi-sector non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian organization; which is working for poverty alleviation and development of local institution in rural area. The organization is also working for social, moral and political issues in the area. HELP is mainly engaged in building awareness among the grassroots level. HELP is a non-political organization with the aim to develop the communities with their own human resources. 
HELP is working primarily with local community based organization to develop their capacity to assist poor and less advantaged sections of communities and to achieve their goals for sustainable and social sector development. 
HELP also support village organizations, which provide management training and advice to build capacity within citizen community boards (CCBs). Enhancing capacity and promoting professionalism within the citizen sector. And promoting an enabling environment for citizen sector initiatives to wards public purposes. 
 MISSION AND VISION  
 HELP Organization mission statement in to improve quality of life and empower youth to cope with the challenges in every field.  HELP Organization completely dedicated to reduce human sufferings and it is non-political in its mission. 
Many non-governmental actors are active in the field of rural development and poverty alleviation in Pakistan. HELP mission is to alleviate poverty with a specific focus on curbing intolerance in the society and provide conducive environment for the development of disadvantaged members of the society - particularly women and the poorest of the poor. More over, our mission is to integrate human development with paramatic approach that induces focus on sustainable, participatory development and community empowerment by creating gender balance, equal opportunities of one's potential through efficient use of existing resources and to empower communities through enhancing local leadership for transformation of society.
HELP aims to achieve a sustainable and long lasting development in the target area. For this purpose HELP wants to develop micro and macro-level institutions and produce a cadre of community activists who are not only well informed about the development approaches and issues but also to act as a link between the communities and government/nongovernmental organizations. Moreover, these increased capacities, especially of the poorest men and women, contribute towards poverty reduction and self-reliance. 
HELP endeavors to achieve the above-mentioned objectives through forming and strengthening local institutions at village and regional levels. HELP fill the institutional vacuum at the village level through establishing and fostering a modern network of Citizen Community Board (CCB) and integrates it with the traditional systems of Hujra and Jirga for a sustainable attempt at community empowerment. 
HELP is responsible for: planning and mobilization of manpower; collective management and control of resources; elections of their Office Bearers; election of the office bearers of Citizen Community Board (CCB); identification of their needs; proper utilization of their savings; and implementation of development activities at the grassroots level.                                                                                                
HELP also providing technical assistance and skill enhancement to these institutions for improving delivery of services with sustainability; increasing agricultural productivity; evolving community-managed systems; improving participatory development through (CCB) and Regional Council for Development (RCD); and establishment of inter and intra-organizational linkages between (CCB), and development agencies at the macro level. 
For Information, Health and Sanitation, and education programme, different committees are form at the community level, which have the potential to become formal community organizations according to the requirement of any programme with just a little input and capacity building effort. 
The selection criteria of trainees and the training methodology of community members needs to be closely examined in consultation with the social organizers and technical staff so that bottlenecks can be identified and procedures and system can be put in place for a more effective approach to training. At the community level, three types of training are conduct: 
1. Social 
2. Managerial and 
3. Technical. 
Social training focuses on developing local level leadership for taking responsibility for leading development activities in the communities. Managerial training again divides into two broad categories, Village Organizations (VO)' management and Regional Development Organization management training. The former training focuses how to develop and manage VO and its relative functions and responsibilities. Where as the latter training focuses on Organizational Development in the sense of an NGO with the knowledge on how to develop and run different sectored systems like, micro-credit, Human Resource Development (HRD), Natural Resource Management (NRM), etc. 
The Master Trainers course, in fact is the training related to running (CCB) like independent NGOs. Regarding technical training, various specialist departments and organizations will be involved. 
 Goals and Objectives 
HELP Organization plan its activities to achieve the following goals.
· Toarise awareness and develop individual and collective human resources for raising the overall living standard of the target community.
• Improve women status and empower them for addressing their strategic gender and health needs. 
· Assist local institutions in effective utilization of their available resources as well as in obtaining external resources for income generation activities; and 
· Develop a local mechanism for a sustainable micro credit and income generation programme. 
· Empowerment of communities at grassroots level to generate voice and action for human rights. 
· Advocacy for gender sensitization through participation in gender networks and raising conscience against women discrimination in all spheres of life. 
· To arise awareness about Drugs, Prevention of Drugs and free treatment of adducted people 
· To give increase access to basic social services for rural and semi-urban population more specifically women, by enlarging the capacity of village organization and Citizen Community Boards (CCBs) to provide such services.                                                                                                                                     
· Focusing on primary health, reproductive health and basic education, particularly access to such services for women the organization is supporting innovative approaches to service delivery and social sector development. 
· To ensure clean and diseases free environment, and safe hygienic conditions to be prevailed on different suburbs and areas of PAKISTAN. 
· It will promote basic skills and vocational trainings

HELP Strategies to Work 
· First of all conduct a survey in a proposed area. 
· Second, arrange an initial meeting with the communities for both males and females. 
· Third, needs are identified. 
· Fourth, issues are discussed with the communities for both males and females. 
· Fifth, formation of different committees both for males and females and responsibilities are given to both males and females. 
· Sixth, the problems of the proposed area are solved with mutual and joint efforts of HELP staff and communities 
Geographically Current working area 
Currently HELP Organization is jointly working with different organizations in the field of water Channels at Shang Besham
The operational area of HELP Organization is NWFP, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. HELP Organization define its role as facilitation in enabling the disadvantaged rural communities and achieve their developmental Objectives  
Extra circular activities: 
Building a healthy and strong community can't be ensured without the need of sports and extra circular activities. In this regard HELP has carried out its utmost resources and inputs in order to develop a healthy young generation. Different sports (Cricket, Football, Volleyball etc) tournaments have been arranged, in which a large number of youth has participated. 
 Eye Camps: 
Eye related problems are very common in developing countries, especially in Pakistan, due to the lack of awareness and treatment of all diseases through indigenous methods. Most of the population faces eye problems in their old age. Taking into consideration that eye treatment is very expensive and most of the peoples become blind due to lack of resources for better treatment. HELP organizes eye camps in order different areas. These eyes camps not only provide lenses but also the poor people are operated without charging any fees. Three camps have been organized in U/C Shang during last one year. 
Educational seminar: 
In order to achieve quality education, HELP gives training to motivate committed teachers by arranging seminars and training workshops. More over, HELP also arranges different type of quiz shows and presentation for students. 
Child Labor: 
Most of the children engaging in child labor live in Pakistan and rural areas, where living conditions for these children are crude and opportunities for education minimal; however, their income is necessary for the survival of their families, providing the basic essentials. This organization points out that many small enterprises are completely dependent on child labor and the bulk of child-labor occurs in rural areas and is usually associated with traditional family economic activities, such as farming or animal husbandry.  
Agriculture and Live stock  
Agriculture constitutes the largest sector of our economy. Majority of the   population, directly or indirectly, dependent on this sector. It contributes about 24 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and accounts for half of employed labor force and is the largest source of foreign exchange earnings. It feeds whole   rural and urban population. Realizing its importance, this organization is always keen to have reliable area and production statistics of agricultural  crops well in time. Organization’s experts primarily need accurate and timely statistics for the   important crops such as wheat, cotton, rice, sugarcane, maize etc.  
Public Police Liaison Committee 
According to Article 168 of Police Order 2002, this Organization with the collaboration of government may establish public Police Liaison Committees as voluntary, self-financing and autonomous bodies in consultation with National Public  
Safety and Police Complaints Commission or Provincial Public Safety and Police Complaints Commission.  
 Specific functions of the Committees are: 
Training and capacity building of members and staff of the Provincial and District Public Safety and Police Complaints Commissions;  
Developing mechanisms for liaison between aggrieved citizens and police for providing relief; and  
Assistance to Provincial and District Public Safety and Police Complaints Commissions and the police for expeditious and judicious discharge of their duties 
SUSTAINABILITY OF ORGANIZATION/PROJECTS 
1. Transparency 
HELP believes in transparency as mainstay to ensure sustainability. The organization has a clear concept with transparent methodology, which had changed a charity committee to HELP Organization “a leading NGO of the District Shangla”. The same approach is being followed at community level.  
2. Gender Balance 
HELP Organization is an equal opportunity setup to ensure progress and participation of both the gender. 
3. Community Participation 
Community participation in any project and activities of organization are also basis for sustainability. 
4. Endowment Fund 
Establishment of an endowment fund for organization is also a root cause for sustainability. 
5. Income Generation Schemes 
Operations of Income generation schemes are also the indication of sustainability. 
6. Community montly saving
This saving is also leading to organization’s mission, goal and objectives with any activities/projects towards the sustainable development.
